Nagaraja Cholan MA, MLA is no match to Amaithi Padai. The characterisation is also not strong comparatively to the first instalment. The film takes potshots at modern-day politicians. Well, the first half is short and will end in less than an hour.

Sathyaraj, Seeman and Manivannan have given their best. In fact, their acting is a treat to watch. Sathyaraj's body languages and dialogue delivery will be praised. Not to forget his comedy timings. Raghuvannan, Komal, Mrudula, Varsha and others have done justice to their roles.

James Vasanthan's music is disappointing. Only 'Viraivil vidiyum...' is good in the album. D Sankar's cinematography is neat, but R Sudharshan's editing work could have been a lot better had he mercilessly removed unwanted scenes. Dialogues are strong and wins audience applause at parts. Last but not least, don't miss the end credits.
