Bramman is set in Coimbatore. The film tells the story of two friends, who are separated at early age, reunite once again. In the first half, Shiva (Sasikumar) will be seen running a theatre along with Santhanam. But he was not successful in it and gets criticised by people for the same. As he could not generate enough money from his theatres, he decided to meet his friend played by Naveen Chandra, who is a settled filmmaker in Tollywood and seeks his help to renovate his theatre.

He leaves Coimbatore and comes to Chennai. However, he could not meet Naveen Chandra, but he become friends with Soori. At this juncture, a producer by mistake believes Sasikumar as Naveen Chandra's assitant and offers him a movie to direct. What happens next should be seen on screen.

Story Analysis

Story Analysis

The story of Bramman fails to keep the audience engaged. It is mainly because the plots are predictable. In the second half, the story is too dragging and tests the patience of the audience. Santhanam's comic acts give relief to audience.

Sasikumar's Performance

Sasikumar's Performance

Sasikumar will be seen in colourful avatars in Bramman. But the actor, who is known for giving brilliant performance, is okay in the film. Lavanya Tripathi appears good.

Others' Performances

Others' Performances

Santhanam's comedy may not work at parts, but it brings relief. Soori and other actors have done justice to their roles.

Technical Departments

Technical Departments

Technical departments fail big time in Bramman. Jomon T John is poor behind camera as there are blurred scenes at parts. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is not worth mentioning.

Verdict

Verdict

Bramman has not lived up to audience expectations. Forget general cine goers, his fan following from B and C centres too may not like it. It doesn't have much to offer other than a loosely narrated story of friendship.
