Continuing his success streak as an actor and going in the path of churning out decent and engaging movies, Vijay Anthony is back with yet another movie, Thimiru Pudichavan. After the super success of Bicchagaadu, the Telugu-dubbed version of Pichaikaran, Thimiru Pudichavan has got a simultaneous release in the Telugu states as Roshagaadu.
Thimiru Pudichavan is an old-school commercial potboiler flick, which is said to offer complete value for money to the audience. Vijay Anthony as the strict, eccentric and honest cop works for his department on the lines of integrity and cracks at many current happenings such as juvenile crimes and takes on the antagonists. He is not only on a mission to set things right in his area, but also inspires fellow cops as to how an ideal cop should be. He is seen getting into the action of cleaning the city from criminals and even drainage and thus, setting an example.
Heroine Nivetha Pethuraj, who plays the love interest of our hero, too is a police officer and hence, travels along with Anthony throughout the movie.
Vijay Anthony has yet again rendered another decent and adequate performance in line with the script requirement. He knows his pros and cons as an actor and has just balanced the line without going overboard nor undermining himself.
Nivetha is gorgeous and at the same time is convincing as a sub-inspector. She is sure to earn some handy number of fans post this movie.
The rest of the casting just fits the bill right for the movie.
Vijay Anthony is not just the actor who has done his job religiously, but has scored quite good as the music director and producer of the movie as well. Both the music and production values are apt to the movie.
Director Ganesh, an associate of SS Rajamouli once upon a time, has come out with a convincing package. The first half is gripping and entertaining, while the second half retains the interest held by the first half. This is a case of a typical commercial movie that caters good service to the B & C centers and often reminds the audience of a Hari's commercial movie. Editing and Cinematography by Richard are adequate on an overall scope.
Thimiru Pudichavan is a simple, straightforward and a no-logic entertainer. This one can be enjoyed by the masses and audience who are fans of such commercial entertainers.
