South India's pride, the multi-talented Dhanush is all set to hit the screens as Vaathi/Sir on February 17 all over the world. The movie marks the Tollywood debut of Dhanush and was shot as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The movie stars Samyuktha as the female lead.

According to the available information, Vaathi/Sir is about Balamurugan (Bala Gangadhar Tilak in Telugu), a third-grade lecturer in a college in Tirupathi, who takes a stand for the non-privatization of education. Expectations for this film are rather huge as it is the Telugu debut of the actor and Tamil debut of the director Venky Atluri, who earlier directed films like Mr. Majnu, Tholiprema, and Rang De movies.
