Udhayanidhi Stalin Agrees His Blunder Mistake In Suriya Film: Udhayanidhi Stalin has said that it was Suriya who asked him to remove the anti-reservation scene from the film Ezhaam Arivu.

Ezhaam Arivu is seen as an important film produced by Red Giant Movies. Directed by AR Murugadoss starring Suriya and Shruti Haasan, it was released in 2011. The film, which combines Bodhidharma and science, became a super duper hit. Especially after the release of the film, many people became interested in knowing about Bodhidharma.

Controversial Dialogue About Reservation

The film was celebrated by fans but met with controversy due to one particular scene. That is, Shruti Haasan speaks a dialogue against reservation in a scene from the film. Condemnation intensified that AR Murugadoss, who had made a socially conscious film like Ramana, should not have written such a dialogue against reservation. Apart from that, there was a stir as to whether such a dialogue was in the film produced by Karunanidhi's grandson who considered reservation as a joke. After that the mentioned dialogue was muted.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has spoken about that scene in an interview recently. Speaking in that interview, he said, "There is a line criticizing reservation in the film I made, Ezhaam Arivu. I left it with the political understanding I had at that time. I thought it was just cinema. I don't blame AR Murugadoss for writing that. It was his writing and thoughts. But I shouldn't keep it in my film.

Suriya Asked To Remove It

Suriya didn't know when that scene was shot. Even during dubbing, Suriya wasn't there. He watched the film before release and said that it's against reservation. He asked me to remove it. That's his political understanding. I have said that let it go. But now that I think about it, it seems that we should not have allowed it." Udhayanidhi Stalin gave this answer to a question asked about Mari Selvaraj's speech at the Mamannan audio launch event.

Udayanidhi Stalin is currently acting in Mamannan directed by Mari Selvaraj. The film is slated to release on June 29. It is noteworthy that this film is his last film. Vadivelu, Fahadh Faasil, Keerthy Suresh and others have acted with him in this. AR Rahman has composed the music.
