Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaz is one of the most loved Indian television shows. Ever since the producer Gul Khan announced that the show is going to take a generation leap, fans have gone berserk. As the rumours started to make rounds with regard to Surbhi Chandna, aka Anika, quitting the show post leap, fans have been requesting the makers to not let go off their favourite character and #nosurbhinoishqbaaz is trending on Twitter. And now, Gul Khan, while talking to Pinkvilla, has confirmed that Nakuul Mehta will be playing the role of Shivika's son Shivaansh Singh Oberoi!
Until now on Ishqbaaz, we have seen that Anika leaves home due to Shivaay's intolerant and rude behaviour. Latest spoilers suggested that Anika would be getting pregnant with Shivaay's child. Now that the leap has also been confirmed, rumours are making rounds that Anika's character will be killed during childbirth. Amidst all this, the show might also let go off this actor!
Shivaay Will Be Seen As Shivaansh
The producer of Ishqbaaz Gul Khan, while talking to Pinkvilla, said, "Nakuul will be playing Shivaay's son Shivaansh Singh Oberoi post leap." Apparently, following the leap, the show will focus on Shivaansh's love story.
Post Leap, This Actor Might Have To Quit
According to a few more reports, child actor Aryan Prajapati, who is currently playing the role of Anika's little brother Sahil, might quit the show, as his character will be shown as an older Sahil post the leap. However, when Aryan's mother was approached, she said, "I have no idea about this as I haven't been informed by the production house yet on anything as such."
Vikram Singh Chauhan Approached
Reportedly, television actor Vikram Singh Chauhan has been approached by the makers of Ishqbaaz to be a part of the show post its leap. He told Bollywoodlife, "Yes, I did get a call from the production house. We had a long discussion about the character and so on. However, nothing is confirmed so far. Nothing is formally on paper."
Ishqbaaz To Lose Surbhi Chandna?
Yesterday, one of the sources told Pinkvilla that Surbhi Chandna is unhappy with the generation leap and doesn't want to play the role of a mother. If Nakuul is playing Shivika's son's role, it is obvious that Surbhi won't be playing his love interest. Does that mean Surbhi's exit is confirmed? The actress is yet to comment on the same.
Post Leap, Ishqbaaz To Get More Interesting!
A source told Bollywoodlife, "Ishqbaaaz is a huge property for Star Plus, especially in the foreign market. The channel is trying its best to make the post leap a damn exciting one."
