Rohit Roy On Relationships, Says He Would Have Killed His Partner For Cheating On Him In His 20s!
Rohit Roy said in an interview that romantic relationships are hard to handle and that he would have killed his partner for cheating on him in his 20s. He is working on Vikram's web series Memories.
Everybody has their own take on relationships. While some consider infidelity to be a sin, others feel unhealthy or toxic relationship forces one to be involved with someone besides their partner. When asked about the same, television actor Rohit Roy expressed his opinion about handling romantic relationships and dealing with tricky situations such as being cheated on by his partner. The Swabhimaan star Rohit Roy is married to actress Manasi Joshi Roy and they have a daughter together named Kiara Bose Roy.
He Says Boredom Can Lead To Cheating
In an interview with IANS, Rohit said, "Infidelity is a very tricky situation for anyone to find oneself in... although nothing can excuse cheating on one's partner, sometimes the current relationship itself is the reason for people to stray... Strain in the relationship, opportunities, and sometimes mere boredom can lead to infidelity."
He Would Kill His Partner In 20s
"Honestly, I don't have a moral standpoint on it. My personal take has changed over the years on how to handle the issue if ever, God forbid, I was faced with it... in my 20s I'd probably kill my partner... in my 30s I would have probably gone mental and wouldn't have known what to do because the relationship would have been a decade old and it wouldn't be easy to kill her."
Rohit Would Be More Forgiving In 40s
"And now in my 40s I know that I'd sit her down and ask her why it happened... take stock of our relationship... speak to her like a friend rather than from the opposite side of the net... and if it seemed workable, I would forgive her totally and give things another shot. Relationships are difficult to build and even tougher to maintain."
Cheating Sequence Gave Chills
The actor shot for a scene that shows cheating on one's partner, as a part of his web series Memories. Talking about the experience he said, "There was this sequence where I find out that my girlfriend is cheating on me with another guy... This sequence gave me the real shivers because this is not something I'd wish on my worst enemy."
On Memories
Rohit made his web series debut through Vikram Bhatt's Memories nearly 25 years after he was seen on the small screen. Talking about being a part of Memories he said, "The way Vikram Bhatt narrated it, the possibility of getting into others' minds and tracking their memories seemed believable. It's a well-etched character and story; when I learnt that there are cases of 37 people who've sprung back to life after being taken off life support for a few minutes, I was all ears. Certain things are beyond our understanding, maybe that's why they are termed supernatural."
