Following
the
demise
of
the
actor
Kavi
Kumar
Azad,
the
makers
of
Taarak
Mehta
Ka
Ooltah
Chashmah
have
been
trying
their
best
to
find
a
replacement.
Reportedly,
many
have
auditioned,
but
none
of
them
have
been
finalized.
A
source
close
to
the
show
recently
revealed
to
the
daily
SpotboyE
the
actual
reason
behind
not
being
able
to
finalize
the
actor
to
play
Dr
Haathi's
role
and
we
totally
agree
with
that.
Actor
Kavi
Kumar
passed
away
last
month
(July,
2018)
after
suffering
a
cardiac
arrest.
The
source
said,
"Kavi
was
extremely
funny.
You
saw
him
and
you
started
laughing-
not
because
of
his
weight
but
because
of
his
facial
expressions.
He
was
all
the
time
so
good
at
his
job,
the
character
had
almost
got
into
him
even
in
his
daily
life.
It
has
just
not
been
possible
to
get
someone
even
remotely
close
as
him
till
now."
The
source
further
added,
"We
definitely
want
someone
as
Dr
Haathi
in
the
episodes
ahead,
but
we
surely
cannot
cast
anybody
for
just
the
heck
of
it.
Kavi
raised
the
standards
so
high
that
the
next
Dr
Hathi
will
have
to
be
at
least
extraordinary
if
not
as
good
as
him."
Kavi
Kumar
Azad
originally
hailed
from
Bihar.
He
had
always
dreamed
of
being
an
actor.
Dr
Haathi's
role
on
Taarak
Mehta
Ka
Ooltah
Chashmah
offered
him
his
first
big
break.
He
entered
the
SAB
TV
show
replacing
actor
Nirmal
Soni.
Talking
about
finding
Kavi's
replacement,
a
source
had
previously
told
Indian
Express,
"Dr
Hathi
is
a
very
important
part
of
the
show.
The
audience
loves
him
and
so
the
makers
want
to
retain
the
character.
Producer
Asit
Kumarr
Modi
is
personally
looking
into
the
casting
and
wants
the
perfect
replacement.
While
it's
really
hard
to
find
someone
as
talented
as
Kavi,
we
are
doing
our
best.
We
should
have
a
confirmation
about
the
replacement
soon."
The
fact
that
Kavi
Kumar
was
an
exceptional
actor
is
undeniable.
Though
one
can't
do
justice
to
Dr
Haathi's
role
the
way
Azad
did,
the
show
must
go
on.
We
look
forward
to
seeing
Dr
Haathi
back
on
the
show
soon.
