Anupamaa Exclusive: Here's How Gaurav Khanna FIRST Reacted To His New Look; Vaquar Shaikh Spills The Beans

Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly and Gaurav Khanna, is all set to witness a dramatic change from next week onwards. The story will take a completely new direction, as Anu will once again cut off all ties with everyone, be it the Shahs or Anuj and Aadhya. She will be seen as the caretaker of an old age home. There's a chance it will be the same old age home where Baa and Bapuji now reside. However, it is Anuj's new look as a mentally unstable man that has caught a lot of attention on social media. While fans have different theories and reactions to the new look, Vaquar Shaikh, who essays the character of Yashdeep, recently revealed what his and Gaurav's reactions were to the latter's look.

Vaquar Shaikh recalls his reaction when he first saw Gaurav's new look; he too was a bit surprised. Reminiscing about his conversation with Gaurav Khanna regarding the new look, Vaquar said, "When I saw the picture of Gaurav in that look, I asked him what's happening. He said that as of now, he doesn't know anything; he was just asked to shoot the promo in that look where he is picking up a flower. He said from the look he can't guess what will exactly happen. I jokingly teased him, 'Have you become Devdas or an animal? What have you become?' Gaurav said he has no idea as he has been given no brief. The new story is being kept very close to the chest by the people who are creatively involved in the writing."

While the recent 5-year leap did get thumbs up from the fans, it would be difficult to say if viewers are once again ready for MaAn's separation. When the makers showed that Shruti had voluntarily left Anuj and Anupamaa's life, realizing that she was the third wheel in MaAn's love, fans thought that finally MaAn would be reunited. However, once again, the upcoming leap will separate them, something which has left the fans a bit miffed.
