Did you ever imagine that the hands that held a cricket bat or a spoon that cooked delicious food, and the face that made thousands to smile and cry at the same time can even entertain you with sizzling moves with the rhythm? Yes, It's the two major shows happening in Sony Entertainment and Star One, Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa' and 'Nach Baliye'.
Stars in Nach Baliye, are real life couples from the industry unlike the participants in Jhalak Dikhla jaa. The chemistry can be seen live with extra emotions where age stands still, (as the first part of Nach Baliye was won by the oldest couple Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar). None of them are professional dancers, but they have a passion towards it that has drawn them towards this breathtaking dance competition. The first round of Nach Baliye drew such big crowd that it has started its second set of participants, i.e. 'Nach Baliye 2', with the same gusto.
The judges for the show are the dancing Queen Saroj Khan, young and talented Director Farhan Akhtar, and the sizzling beauty Malaika Arora Khan. The couples undergo an extensive training process for six weeks prior to the telecast of the first episode on air. They are assigned a separate choreographer and costume designers to suit their specific needs for the perfect show. The practice sessions will also be a part of the reality show; this helps the viewers to know their favourite artists better. It's just not the viewers who enjoyed the show but the celebs too. Manish Ghoyal says, that he got the maximum time to spend with his wife, during the practice, which is hard to get in real time moments. And to talk about the money its really huge, the grand some of Rs. 50 lakhs while their choreographer wins Rs. 20 lakhs.
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is the similar show, but it brings celebs from different walks of life such as sports, films, fashion and music who perform with the professional dance partners.
Jassi who was just known as the intellect of a corporate society, was seen in her real beauty with her excellence in her dancing skills. Mahesh Manjerekar, the socio-political director of films like Vaastav, was applauded for his exotic salsa moves. The other participants were Ajay Jadeja, Pooja Bedi, Sanjeev Kapoor Rati Agnihotri, Akashdeep Sehgal and Shweta Salve. They are judged by the sensuous Shilpa Shetty, queen of Bollywood Farah Khan, and classic filmmaker Sanjay Lela Bhansali. This show is produced by the makers of Kaun Banega Crorepati, i.e Synegy Communications and Theatre Red for SET in India.
The celebs are getting a new forum to show their concealed talents, the viewers are getting to see the celebs in different form other than the usual drama. It has become the famous show watched and loved by every household. Hope we get to see something more than the usual later in these years.
