Mumbai (UNI): Television channel Zee Studio, part of Zee Telefilms Ltd, has acquired television rights to telecast the world premiere of the docudrama 'The Path to 9/11', based on findings of the '9/11 Commission Report'. The channel will telecast the five hour docudrama in an epic miniseries on September 10 and 11 of this month from 2100 hours to 2400 hours and 2100 hours to 2300 hours respectively. On September 11, 2001, America and the world was stunned when 19 terrorist hijacked four Pan-American aircrafts and turned them into live missiles by ramming into the symbol of American economic might, the twin towers of World Trade Centre (WTC)at New York and the Pentagon headquarters. Subsequently, the powerful American congress constituted an independent, Bipartisan '9/11 Commission' to identify the trail, which lead to the world's most deadliest terrorist strikes in modern history that killed more than 3,500 people.

Speaking to UNI, an elated Anselm Mendes, Assistant Vice President(Channel Promotion) said, ''The Indian audience would have the privilege to see and understand, what prompted 9/11, even before their American counterparts on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the terror attacks.'' Zee studio acquired the television rights to premiere 'The Path to 9/11' from ABC Channel, which had funded the project, thus giving the Indian audience a lead to have a glimpse of the world's most horrific terror incident, Mendes added. Directed by David L Cunningham of the 'To End All Wars' fame and starred by actor and Oscar nominee Harvey Keitel, the docudrama boasts an impressive list of Hollywood's best performers.
