Amit Verma is a sincere, handsome, honest and talented actor. These days he is quite popular on television. Earlier, he was seen in Instant Khichdi and Hotel Kingston. At present he is playing the lead character Rohan Kapoor in the Sahara One show 'Kittu Sab Janti Hai'. According to the latest developments in the storyline, his character, Rohan, is going to die in an accident.
Amit started his career as a model endorsing brands like Airtel (with Shah Rukh Khan), Surf, Kinetic Nova, Thums Up. We caught up with him recently and in a tÊte-À-tÊte Amit reveals what else is happening on his side
We have heard that your character Rohan Kapoor in the serial Kittu Sab Janti Hai is going to die. Is it true?
Yes it is true that Rohan will die pretty soon, but I'm not going to reveal much on this.
Tell us something about the story line of the serial.
Rohan is definitely dying, but I cannot give out the storyline now.
Was the end of Rohan's character a demand of the script, the production house's decision or your individual decision?
It was done to add spice to the story. Kittu and Rohan are always seen together and their separation would certainly add a new twist and some spice to the story. This decision has been taken by the production house and the script writer for the benefit of the show. I'm only an actor and do as instructed. I do not take decision.
How was the experience working in the serial?
It was a beautiful experience. Everyone is so good. The production team co-stars are so co-operative. I had a blast. My character has so many shades that I enjoyed working.
Are you satisfied with your role in Kittu....?
Being the lead actor I'm satisfied. My character has so many shades to it, he is insecure, loving and since he is drunk most of the time, I also get to play a drunkard. I have the privilege to do many shades in a single role. Not many actors get to do so.
What else are you doing apart from Kittu...?
I have to shoot for at least 25 days for Kittu... so I'm not doing anything else. Not getting enough time for anything else.
What are you planning next?
I have had a few talks, but I have not taken any decision yet. I'm getting some advertisement assignments on television and planning to do some modelling now. I want to do a weekly show because I'm too busy with Kittu... which is a daily. But you will shortly see me in some other channel as well.
Lastly, will there be a come back of your character in Kittu...?
Yes, yes. The character will be back in a short time. It may be me or someone else doing the role, but the character will be back soon.
