Anoop Soni enters Virrudh

Anoop Soni, who made his entry into the entertainment industry through films, is now struggling to make a mark in the television industry. This actor has been liked in serious roles, especially as that of a police inspector.

Anoop will now be seen as an inspector once again in a television show 'Virrudh', but he has not given up on films. Another actor Kamal Sadnah, has directed and produced a film 'Karkash' and has cast Anoop in the lead.

"I'm excited as this would me my first lead role in films. Suchitra Pillai is cast opposite me," confirms Anoop. Here too he will be playing a 'crude and a rude guy'. 'Karkash' is a 90-minute film based on rural settings. The movie deals with the serious issue of women's empowerment and where they actually stand in a male-dominated society. It's about a young couple that has been married for six months and the problems they face. "Rather than being a commercial cinema, it's more of a realistic one," says the director and producer of this movie, Kamal.

Though this movie is ready now, nothing has been decided about the release date. We do not know if the movie would be accepted by the audience or not, but we hope it does some good for Anoop
