Television audiences have been watching trained singers fight it out week after week in talent hunts on various channels. Sahara's Filmy channel has now come up with a unique contest for bathroom singers.

The competition is not for trained singers but for music buffs who love to hum their tunes while at work or play and for people who sing-along with every musical show on radio or TV.

The winner of the show, to be judged by Bhojpuri superhero Ravi Kissen and singer Shibani Kashyap, will get a prize money of Rs 25 lakh. The show will be hosted by Gaurav Gera aka Nandu of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.

Speaking about the show, Shailesh Kapoor, Content and Marketing Head of Filmy said: "Bathroom Singer is a musical reality show for the common man. We are looking for a unique combination of voice and jhaag (lather). We are not looking for a classically trained singer or a youth icon, but a star of the masses".

The auditions for the show will start from July 24 and will be held in four cities across India. The show will go on air from August.
