HBO chief arrested over assault

Las Vegas, (SAMPURN): TV mogul Chris Albrecht has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend in the early hours of Sunday morning. The chairman and chief executive of American TV network HBO allegedly assaulted the woman outside the MGM Grand Casino in Las Vegas hours after watching Saturday night's fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Police spokesman Officer Bill Cassell told a Los Angeles newspaper, "Some of our guys observed a domestic dispute between him and his girlfriend. It was a physical confrontation." Albrecht was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and held on suspicion of a misdemeanour battery-domestic assault, but was later released.
