Karan
Oberoi
is
fed
up
with
the
current
trend
of
giving
all
television
programmes
the
flavour
of
a
reality
show.
A
few
embarrassing
instances
on
a
fun
show
that
have
been
aired
against
his
wishes
have
left
a
bad
taste
in
his
mouth.
"At
times,
I
have
felt
embarrassed.
Some
girls
had
proposed
to
me
on
the
sets
and
it
was
all
recorded.
Despite
telling
them
to
edit
that
part,
they
put
the
whole
thing
on
air," he
rued,
adding
"I
am
an
actor
and
don't
want
to
become
masala."
The
most
recent
incident
of
the
kind
was
on
the
sets
of
"Titan
Antakshari" when
Himani
Kapoor
went
running
after
Karan
pestering
him
to
let
her
tie
a
rakhi
on
his
wrist.
While
others
were
enjoying
the
chase,
an
angered
Karan
screamed
across
the
floor
to
Himani
saying
"Don't
irritate
me".
Only
when
he
protested
aloud
that
the
bystanders
realize
Karan's
state
of
mind.
But
what
exactly
got
him
so
worked
up?
"The
rakhi
is
a
sacred
thing
that
should
not
be
made
fun
of,"
Karan
explained.
He
pointed
out
that
though
Himani
was
like
an
innocent
child,
it
was
a
mistake
on
her
part.
Being
elder
to
her,
"both
professionally
and
agewise",
it
was
his
responsibility
to
make
her
understand
the
issue.
"Moreover,
they
put
everything
on
air
these
days,
even
if
you
don't
want
them
to,"
lamented
Karan.
"It's
a
fun
show
and
not
a
reality
show,
like
Big
Boss
or
Big
Brother,
that
everything
on
the
sets
needs
to
be
aired."
Now
that
seems
a
more
logical
explanation
for
the
outburst
than
the
preaching
about
the
significance
of
rakhi.
