Remember the famous lines Ara ra ra....? Yes, we are talking about Ketki Dave as Daksha Ben in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.... Those missing Ketki will be glad to learn that she is soon coming back as Daksha Ben in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.... Swinging in her own style with a hint of phirang look, this time Daksha Ben will have her grand entry whizzing across the open seas fashionably on a yacht!
We recently caught up with her to learn about her return to the famous K serial and she told us all about her reincarnation as Daksha as well as her future plans. Here is the excerpt of our tÊte-À-tÊte.
Q: You are making a comeback in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, so how do you feel about it?
A: I am really very excited as people and especially my fans use to ask me when am I going to come back as they were missing me, waiting for me to come back. So finally I thought to put an end to their wait and decided to come back just for my fans...
Q: You expected to make your come back much earlier, isn't it?
A: Yes, I was planning to come back much before, but things did not materialize. Now as everything's falling in place I am finally coming back....
Q: Everyone's waiting for your grand entry...
A: Yes, I too am very excited as I have a grand entry. This time I will be coming on some big ship and all.... The scene has already been shot, but I don't know how the outcome looks like and if the audience will accept me like before again.
Q: Are there any changes in your look?
A: Yes there are some changes as now I am a foreign-return member of the family. But I am still in a Gujarati saree. Nevertheless, my hairstyle is slightly changed...
Q: Why are your son and daughter in the serial not coming back?
A: I am coming back with my husband Himmat and daughter in-law Prajakta. My son Hussain is busy now and may be he will come later. I have no clue about my daughter, as I am not very aware of the script.
Q: You are Tulsi's chachi saas who has now grown so old?
A: Yes I know. But I don't have such old look as I have dyed my hair and I will also now try to make Tulsi look younger.
Q: Your responsibilities would add up now, as you are the eldest saas in the family?
A: Yes, I am the eldest saas now as Savita has expired. So it is obvious that my responsibilities would increase and I will need to correct and guide the young generation that seems to be creating problems now.
Q: Will your friendship with Gayatri be same as before?
A: Yes, of course. We were friendly and close to each other as before and in fact all the three bahus share a good relation and it will be the same now too. We will have the same kind of planning and plotting for our younger generation to bring them on the correct path.
Q: And what about your famous line Ara ra ra?
A: Yeah the most important thing in my dialogues is my ara ra ra...It is basically going to be the same, but this time there will be a tint of foreign accent....
Q: What about all the stories about your tiff with Ekta Kapoor?
A: Yes, I must admit that we did have some problems. But I am a person who lives in the present and thinks for the future. So I have buried my past and now everything is fine and I am very happy working with her again. If people in this industry stick to the past it is impossible to survive here.
Q: Why are you are not doing much of acting these days?
A: Yes, I have cut down on my assignments. This is because I am very choosy now and I think that unless there is something worth I won't go for it. When I am away from my family I should enjoy it and not get bored.
Q: What about your involvement with films and theater?
A: I do at least one show for theater in a year and I am still doing it and will continue doing so. As for as movies are concerned, I am just waiting for good roles to come. In fact I want to do more movies.
