Kumkum as Santo steals the show with audience enjoying a good afternoon laughter session. Santo, the new maid in brassy costumes in Wadhwa house has come to tackle the problems caused by Antara. Kumkum in disguise as Santo presents herself as a village belle with a ghoonghat, illiterate to the core.

Kumkum as Santo, teams with Antara against her in-laws, only to win her confidence and in the long run expose her evil intentions before the family. Even while Anthara is planning how to malign the Wadhwa family, Kumkum comes to their rescue. She devises some solutions to help the family in distress. When Antara tries to starve the family, Kumkum makes arrangements with Methi chacha so that the elders get their food on time, even so when the Puja ghar is shifted and later when Antara locks the house with a new key to ensure that the whole family gets drenched in the rain, Kumkum cleverly manages to get hold of the keys to save her loved ones.

Problems evidently crop up when Shanti Mausi, one of the troublemakers begin to suspect Santo. Accidentally Shanti Mausi overhears Kumkum's conversation with Sumit, who had gone abroad for a treatment. Her doubts are thus reinstated. However when Antara refuses to trust her and demands for proof, Shanti Mausi comes up with her crooked plans to trap Kumkum. She breaks a mirror in front of Kumkum so as to see Kumkum's face which is covered by the ghoonghat. Kumkum on realizing the trick played upon her gets the better off Shanti Mausi in her own way. When Antara finally decides to have everything sorted out once and for all, Kumkum just in time manages to get Neeti's help and thus save herself from the disgrace in front of Antara.

Luckily Kumkum is safe and Antara is hardly able to find anything amiss. With her new disguise and identity as Santo Kumkum is giving the audience real wholesome laughter in her own unique way. The show is slowly catching up the popularity charts and the story has changed tracks to include a humorous vein to it. What needs to be seen is whether the serial will be able to retain its popularity or not in the long run along the same lines.
