Prachi Desai wins Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa

Prachi Desai popularly known as Bani in Kasam Se was crowned champion of the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Prachi who was one of the favourites among the audience won the contest defeating her rivals Sandhya Mridul and Jay Bhanushali in the grand finale. The young actress along with her choreographer Deepak won a prize money of Rs 50 lakh.

Wearing a red dress Prachi put up a stunning show in front of the audience. The actress however controlled her emotions when others were busy consoling Sandhya. Prachi who belonged to the Balaji camp got four days of break form Ekta Kapoor to prepare for the grand finale. However such a favour was denied to Balaji boy Jay Bhanushali.

It was a twist in the tail as Prachi had been voted out of the contest before making a wild card entry after being backed by the audience. Sandhya Mridul was favoured by the judges as she got maximum votes form them. Once again the audience vote turned out to be crucial as Prachi sailed through on cashing on her popularity. The last minute change in the fate is nothing new to the show as the last season saw Mona Singh win the title ahead of Shweta Salve who was favourite among the judges.

The grand finale also saw judge Jeetendra hit the floor and impress the audience with his flicks. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif came as celebrity judges and gave away the trophies. Prachi also revealed having signed the movie Rock On opposite Farhan Akhtar.
