Ekta's spurns anger among Vaishnav's

Balaji Telefilms's creative director Ekta Kapoor's may make many an Indian abroad and at home sit glued to their Star Plus for most of their TV watching time. But this time she has brought to the attention of another group of people her shows and this time it may not necessarily do her shows any good even if it raises her TRP's a bit.

In her most successful show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi – during it's Wednesday broadcast – has one of the characters (Suvarna Jha who plays Trupti) saying "Bhad mein jayen aap, aur bhad mein jayen aap ke Thakurji". The Vaishnav community has registered their objection to this statement made during the show and the Vaishnav's religious authorities too have stood by them.

The accusers are planning to file a case against the production banner and its creative head Ekta. A sevak said that their god shouldn't have been brought into the matter. The Vaishnavi temple has received anywhere between 400 – 500 complaints. The only thing pending for the objection to be made official is for their guru Maha Prabhuji to take the step required.

Jaswant Mehta, Pushtimarg Maharaj has been quoted saying that the dialogue writers are very immature and should have thought about the consequences of their lines before finalizing them. Ekta Kapoor herself seems to have no clue of this and is not against an apology if it is in order.
