It
won't
be
an
overstatement
to
say
that
Sajid
Khan
was
instrumental
in
introducing
the
element
of
humour
in
television
countdown
shows.
It
was
his
musical
countdown
show
Ikke
Pe
Ikka
which
really
made
viewers
realize
that
a
countdown
show
can
be
a
slapstick
comedy
as
well.
Since
then
there
has
been
no
looking
back
for
Sajid.
With
every
show
he
has
scaled
new
heights
and
his
move
into
film
direction
(Heyy
Babyy)
proved
to
be
hugely
successful
as
well.
Now
the
multi-talented
actor
is
back
with
a
talk
show
of
his
own
-
Sajid
Superstars
–
on
the
newly
launched
entertainment
channel
-
Colors.
So
what
is
it
that
makes
his
show
different
from
the
run
of
the
mill
being
aired
on
all
channels?
"When
I
say
it
is
a
show
involving
superstars,
I
really
mean
it.
In
my
show,
you
will
not
find
any
wannabe
stars,
you
will
only
meet
stars
who
have
made
it
to
the
top," says
Sajid
proudly.
The
fact
that
he
means
it
is
evident
in
the
guest
list
which
comprises
of
names
like
Anil
Kapoor,
Katrina
Kaif,
Vivek
Oberoi,
Riteish
Deshmukh,
Farah
Khan,
Karan
Johar
and
Ranbir
Kapoor.
Within
a
couple
of
episodes,
Sajid
Superstars
has
already
caught
attention
of
the
viewers
because
of
the
slapstick
humour
and
direct
approach
of
Sajid
Khan.
Where
else
would
you
see
a
host
asking
his
guest
whether
he
is
gay
or
not!
Believe
it
or
not,
this
is
the
question
he
asked
Riteish
Deshmukh.
"There
is
a
specific
part
in
the
show
known
as
the
scandal
round
where
I
will
ask
similar
questions
to
all
celebrities," says
Sajid
with
an
evil
smile.
But
don't
the
stars
object
to
such
questions?
"Why
do
you
think
I
give
them
good
gifts?
During
the
show
there
are
two
occasions
when
I
will
be
giving
them
gifts
–
one
during
the
show
where
I
will
give
impromptu
gifts
like
books
and
then
after
the
show
where
I
will
be
giving
expensive
gifts
like
laptops
and
digital
music
players," explains
the
host
in
his
usual
comical
manner.
As
one
would
expect
from
him,
Sajid
has
given
Vivek
Oberoi
the
book
How
To
Win
Friends
And
Influence
People,
Anil
Kapoor
-The
Fountain
Of
Youth
and
diapers
to
Farah
for
her
triplets.
The
talk
show
also
has
a
section
where
the
host
asks
questions
on
how
well
the
guest
knows
his
near
and
dear
ones.
"For
example,
I
asked
Ranbir
about
his
mother's
first
film
–
whether
it
was
with
Rishi
or
Randhir
Kapoor.
And
he
was
not
able
to
answer,"
smiles
Sajid.
In
other
words,
the
guests
need
to
come
well-prepared
for
their
encounter
with
Sajid!
The
chubby
host
has
lost
a
lot
of
weight
for
the
show.
"During
the
making
of
Heyy
Babyy,
I
gained
a
lot
of
weight
due
to
the
stress
and
hard
word.
But
for
the
last
few
months
I
have
been
working
out
regularly
to
get
rid
of
that
extra
fat,"
explains
Sajid.
The
actor-cum-host-cum-director
is
waiting
to
go
back
behind
the
camera
and
all
set
for
starting
his
next
film
Housefull.
"It
will
star
Akshay
Kumar,
Riteish
Deshmukh,
Jiah
Khan
and
Deepika
Padukone
and
will
be
a
romantic
comedy.
I
expect
to
start
shooting
in
January,
2009,"
concludes
Sajid.
