Singer
Ishmeet
Singh,
winner
of
the
popular
Star
Plus
reality
show
Voice
of
India
2007,
was
drowned
in
a
swimming
pool
in
Male,
Maldives
on
Tuesday
evening.
He
had
arrived
in
the
Indian
Ocean
atoll
nation
early
on
Tuesday
to
sing
at
a
musical
concert
on
Friday.
The
19-year-old
singer
was
frolicking
in
a
shallow
pool
meant
for
children.
He
jumped
into
the
deep-end
of
the
main
swimming
pool.
He
did
not
know
swimming
and
was
drowned
in
the
pool.
He
was
immediately
taken
to
the
nearby
hospital
with
the
help
of
a
boat
by
Dhonveli
resort
people
but
within
fews
seconds
he
breathed
his
last.
Ishmeet
had
won
the
'Voice
of
India'
singing
contest
against
his
closest
rival
Harshit
from
Uttar
Pradesh
on
26th
Nov
2007.
Lata
Mangeshkar
had
given
him
the

Ismeet
had
also
done
a

The
budding
star's
tragic
end
has
cut
short
a
promising
singing
spirit
of
India.
But
his
melodious
voice
will
continue
to
haunt
the
memories
of
his
fans
and
all
music
lovers.
