a
judge.
This

his
first
endeavour

a
judge
in
which
he
will

joined

his
mentor,
Ismail
Darbar
as
a
co-judge.
Monty
Sharma
started
his
musical
career
with
Ismail
Darbar
and
worked
with
him
as
a
keyboard
player.
He
also
helped
Ismail
compose
the
music
of
hit
movies
Hum
Dil
De
Chuke
Sanam
and
Devdas
before
he
composed
music
independently
for
Black
and
Saawariya.
Boosting
of
a
musical
lineage,
Monty
is
the
nephew
of
well
known
Indian
music
composer,
Pyarelal

grandson

his

Sukhwinder

playback
singer

he

Filmfare

He

his
maiden
stage
performance
at
the

Ismail

Belonging
to
a
family
of
four
generations
of
musicians,
Ismail
was
trained
to
play
the
saxophone,
clarinet
and
violin
from
a
very
young
age
under
his
father
Husain.
He
later
also
trained
under

Ramprasad
Sharma.
