Shahrukh to star in a television soap

After having successfully hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati and Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? on Star Plus, Shahrukh Khan is all set to star in a Television soap. The biggest production house of Bollywood Yash Raj Films will soon be venturing into the small screen and produce soaps for a leading General Entertainment Channel.

Yash Chopra will cast Shahrukh in a small but significant role in a soap. This will be home coming of sorts for the Bollywood Baadshah who began his career in the small screen with serials Dil Dariya, Fauji and Circus two decades ago. What's more Yash Chopra will also cast Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee as his co-stars. It remains to be seen if SRK with Preity and Rani can create magic on the small screen too.
