New TV series based on Hurt Locker

The G4 management is planning a reality series that will be based on the Oscar-winning movie Hurt Locker. Just like Hurt Locker, this new reality TV series will follow a military Bomb-disposal unit deployed in Afghanistan as they face their daily challenges. Although Hurt locker is based in Iraq, the reality series will be shot on the U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Squad in Afghanistan.

The series, 'Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan' will start with training session back home and follow the squad as they ship out for the precarious missions abroad. The series will try to depict the lives of U.S. Soldiers as they face adverse situations on a daily basis and still get the job done.

The G4 president Neal Tiles said that it is rare opportunity to show the arduous lives of the courageous men and women on the frontlines and how they overcome all the barriers on the path. The reality TV show will depict all the teamwork, danger and triumphs that constitute a regular day at work for the bomb disposal squad.

Bomb disposal is an extremely specialized job that requires a high amount of technical and field training; the bomb disposal squad is responsible for the lives of thousands of soldiers, who face threats from IEDs and other roadside bombs on a regular basis.
