Pallavi
Subhash,
last
seen
in
'Karam
Apna
Apna" and
'Basera",
is
back
on
the
small
screen–
this
time
as
an
obedient
bahu
on
Sony"s
'Godh
Bharaai".
Pallavi,
who
claims
to
be
25
years
old,
has
executed
the
roles
of
characters
almost
double
her
real
age–
and
has
managed,
to
a
large
extent,
to
carry
them
off.
“I
am
very
fussy
about
choosing
any
role
for
any
show.
I
only
select
those
roles
which
appeal
to
me.
Because
of
my
role
in
'Karam
Apna
Apna",
I
have
received
a
lot
of
offers
for
similar
roles.
In
'Godh
Bharaai",
I
am
playing
a
childless
woman,
married
for
five
years," she
explains.
“If
I
ever
get
an
offer
to
play
a
college
girl
or
somebody
closer
to
my
actual
age,
I
will
definitely
give
a
green
signal
to
that
role,"
she
adds.
It
is
a
well-known
fact
that
lead
actors
are
paid
whatever
they
ask
for,
but
Pallavi
takes
pains
to
emphasise
that
it
is
not
about
the
money.
“I
will
not
take
up
a
role
that
I
do
not
like,
no
matter
how
much
the
production
house
pays
me,"
she
insists,
adding,
“For
me,
it
was
and
always
will
be
the
role
and
not
the
money
that
will
convince
me
to
take
up
an
offer."
Our
sources
tell
us
that
she
was
paid
a
hefty
sum
in
one
of
her
previous
shows.
Pallavi,
however,
persists,
“Even
if
the
payment
is
low,
and
the
character
is
good,
then
I
will
do
the
show."
Looks
like
we
have
a
dedicated
artiste
in
the
industry,
if
we
choose
to
believe
her
rather
fervent
convictions.
