Preeta Jain wants to play positive roles

Preeta Jain, who has gained popularity as Batori from the Jamuniya, produced on Beyond Dreams and telecast on Imagine TV, is keener to play positive roles. She has done lot of stage shows and regional movies before starting with Jamunia. This is the first time she has got the negative role. Earlier, she was very partial to positive roles.

Preeta mentioned, “This is the first time I got opportunity to play negative role. Whenever I used to play positive roles earlier I had to cry. But, now I don"t even get chance to cry, I have to make other"s weep! I always ask my director to give me some roles where I can shed tears. I am dying to cry (Laughs)!

People normally feel that after seeing a negative character on television; that this person will be same in reality also, with lots of attitude and is very arrogant. I don"t want the audience to think that way about me. I am very different in real not at all like Batori. In fact off screen, I am really good friends with Jai and Jamunia. We share all our stuff with each other.

My mother also asks me that why I had to go for a negative role. Surprisingly, it"s fun doing negative role. It"s a completely different experience. I hope people would like this side of me. Every time I shoot for sequence I immediately run to producer to see if I have done it perfectly. Then I ask them, do I really look negative!" Preeta, people are really accepting you in a negative role, your work is being appreciated all over, and you know it!
