Raj

Network
will
soon
venture
into
the
Hindi
GEC
(General
Entertainment
Channel)
space.
The
Chennai
based
which
operates
a
clutch
of
general
entertainment,
news
and
music
channels
in
various
South
Indian
languages
has
christened
the
new
channel
as
Raj
Parivaar.
This
is
a
part
of
the
company's
strategy
to
widen
it
bouquet
and
make
inroads
into
the
Hindi
heartland.
The
company
which
disclosed
this
recently
has
said
that
it
has
already
started
with
the
dry
run
for
Raj
Parivaar
and
the
channel
will
go
on
air
in
another
two
months.
The
new
channel
will
be
operated
out
of
Mumbai
and
will
be
a
free-to-air
channel
to
start
with.
The
Group
had
acquired
license
for
Raj
Parivaar
about
six
months
ago.
Raj
Television
Network
also
plans
to
consolidate
its
position
in
the
Souther
part
of
the
country
and
will
launch
news
and
music
channels
in
Malayalam
and
Telugu.
That's
not
all
as
Amit
Bose,
VP
–
Programming
said
that
they
are
eyeing
the
Kannada
news
market
and
will
also
launch
a
Kannada
news
channel
very
soon.
