12 Rashees, 12 Actors, one family on Sab

In the endeavor to be different, TV producers often end up churning out the same old thing. Scripts are tweaked here and there, but in the end, it all boils down to kitchen politics.

Unheralded producer Manish Jain though seems to have something new up his sleeve. Jain has shot a pilot for SAB that includes 12 actors. What"s so noble about this untitled project?

A source says, “The show has 12 actors who are part of one family, headed by actor Vijay Kashyap. He"s got two sons who have their own spouses and kids. Together there are 12 members in the family. What"s so startling about this family is that each member belongs to a different Zodiac sign. Navneet Nishan, Manini De are also part of this show."

An actor requesting anonymity says, “Yes, we have shot for such a pilot. We"re told that SAB TV will do market research for this project, and if approved, we"ll go on floors within a month"s time."

Viewers will certainly hope that this project is approved. After all, it will be interesting to see how a family, where each member belongs to different rashee, co-exists?
