As
easy
as
it
may
seem
but
acting
isn"t
everyone"s
cup
of
tea.
One
requires
great
powers
of
mental
and
physical
concentration.
Actors,
in
particularly
TV
stars,
have
to
grind
it
out
in
tough
conditions
.Since
most
TV
shows
highlight
rural
life,
actors
often
have
to
do
without
the
usual
luxuries
associated
with
an
urban
studio.
Bubbly
Sulagna
Panigrahi,
better
known
as
Dhara
of
Amber
Dhara
fame,
is
left
tanned
after
shooting
for
a
month
in
the
desert
region
of
Jaisalmer,
Rajasthan.
It"s
been
nearly
a
month
since
Panigrahi
has
returned
to
Mumbai,
but
the
heat
of
Jaisalmer
is
still
embedded
on
her
skin.
The
actress
was
in
Jaisalmer
to
shoot
for
her
newly
launched
show
Do
saheliyan.
“We
had
a
real
hard
time
shooting
in
Jaisalmer.
Imagine
yourself
bare
feet
in
the
desert
and
roaming
in
temperatures
in
excess
of
40
degree
celsius.
For
one
month,
I
had
to
go
through
this
ordeal
everyday.
As
a
result,
I
got
tanned
badly.
The
sunscreen
creams
were
of
no
use.
It"s
now
close
to
a
month,
since
we"ve
returned
to
Mumbai,
but
my
skin
still
hasn"t
cleaned," said
Panigrahi.
Interestingly,
a
year
back,
Sulagna
was
offered
the
lead
role
in
Agle
janam
mohe
bitiya
hi
kijo
but
was
allegedly
rejected
by
the
channel
because
they
wanted
a
girl
with
dark
complexion.
Well,
now
that
she"s
turned
little
dark,
isn"t
it
the
right
time
to
tell
the
channel
to
cast
her
in
that
show?
Laughs!
“No,
I
don"t
think
that
was
a
wise
now.
I"m
happy
doing
Do
Saheliyan.
Chota
Ganpathy
is
a
great
production
house
to
work
with," concludes
Panigrahi.
