Delhi HC to examine Emotional Atyachar

Emotional Atyachar has come under the Delhi Hight Court scanner for its controversial content on the show. It has order the television channel to produce the videos of the recent episodes to check if there is any objectionable scene.

A division bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Sanjiv Khanna asked the television channel to submit the unedited clippings of the recent episodes after a public interest litigation (PIL) was filed against the reality show by an NGO.

In the petition, the NGO alleged that the show is "spreading vulgarity and demoting social and moral values". It also sought a ban on the show. The court also expressed its doubts over the Censor Board, whether it has followed the guidelines while issuing the certificate to the channel for telecast.
