It's
a
well
known
fact
that
for
publicly
performing/
telecasting
the
audio
songs,
visual
songs,
audio-visual
sound
recording,
repertoire,
contents
of
any
copyright
owner,
the
permission
and
the
necessary
license
is
required
to
be
obtained
by
the
broadcaster
for
such
communication,
telecast
and
any
violation
of
copyright
amount
to
the
infringement
of
copyrights
which
entitles
the
copyright
owner
to
initiate
civil
as
well
as
criminal
action
against
the
infringer.
T-Series
is
already
legally
pursuing
infringement
of
its
audio
sound
recordings
by
Zee
Network
and
the
matter
is
currently
subjudice
in
the
Delhi
High
Court.
TV
channel
ETC
is
accused
of
airing
videos
of
the
T-Series
film
Patiala
House
with
unprecedented
rotations
and
infringing
upon
copyright
of
T-Series.
T-Series
has
issued
legal
notice
to
ETC
and
have
demanded
heavy
damages
from
ETC.
Spokesperson
of
T-Series
said,
"The
telecast/
communication
of
song
videos
of
Patiala
House
by
ETC
is
unauthorized
and
without
any
license
from
us,
and
ETC
thereby
has
infringed
our
copyright
under
the
copyright
Act,
1957.
Through
a
legal
notice,
we
have
called
upon
ZEE
Network
to
cease
and
desist
from
using
and
telecasting
/
communicating
our
content,
repertoire,
works
immediately
in
any
manner
whatsoever
through
Zee's
said
satellite
channel
'ETC
HINDI'
throughout
India"
T-Series
further
added,
"We
reserve
the
rights
for
criminal
prosecution
against
ETC
&
Zee
Network
for
an
offence
of
infringement
of
copyright
and
shall
implead
the
people
responsible
for
the
infringement
including
the
Directors
and
Managing
Director
of
Zee
Network."
