Gautam Chaturvedi organises evening of Sufi geet-gazals

Actor Gautam Chaturvedi who is best remembered for the role of Gaurav Bhaiya in Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki organised a special evening of Sufi geet and gazals and Dances (by the children of Snehsadan) titled “Snehanjali Dwitiya" for the second year in succession.

On the day when the world was busy celebrating Karvachauth this event in the city was supporting the cause of underprivileged children who by their performance enthralled the audience. The kids felt highly motivated and had a fun filled evening.

The lamp was lit by the celebrities who came timely and the program began with a bang. Sufi gazals and Geet by singer Kanak Chaturvedi who especially came from Delhi left audiences spellbound. Underprivileged children group performed on the popular song “Vo Sikander hi Dosto Kehlata Hai" from the film Jo Jeeta wohi Sikander and got applaud for their spontaneity.

The cheque was handed over by the celebrities to the organisation Snehsadan which is home for homeless and smile less children, orphans, waifs, destitute, delinquents – the 'left-outs' of society.

Actor Gautam Chaturvedi says, “This event is done annually with an intent to give back to the society. There is no substitute for seeing the smile on the faces of under privileged children. I am thankful to singer Kanak Chaturvedi for entertaining audiences and also the fraternity friends who made it a point to attend the event and support the cause."

Celebrities present on the occasion were Gautam Chaturvedi, Arif Zakaria, Moulli Ganguly with Mazher syedd, Rajshree Thakur Vaidhya with hubby Sanjyot Vaidya, Singer Shibani Kashyap, Singer Kanak Chaturvedi, Actress Ritisha Vijayvargiya (film Rivaaz), Mahesh Thakur, Surbhi Tewari, Akshay Sethi (Sasural Genda Phool), Prerna Wanvari (Parichay) and Munisha Khatwani.
