Television
actress
Gurdeep
Kohli
of
the
daily
soap,
“Sanjeevani",
makes
a
come
back
to
the
small
screen
after
two
years
of
gap
with
her
new
show,
''Best
of
Luck
Nikki''.
The
actress
says
that
marriage
was
never
a
hindrance
in
getting
work
in
television
as
the
character's
age
in
small
screen
matures
fast
as
compared
to
films.
Gurdeep
will
be
seen
in
Disney
Channel's
''Best
of
Luck
Nikki''
as
Himani
Singh.
She
will
be
playing
mother
to
four
children.
"Marriage
has
never
been
an
obstacle
to
get
work
for
me.
Television
helps
you
grow
with
your
characters.
I
have
grown
with
my
shows.
Characters
mature
very
fast
on
television
and
in
cinema
it
is
different," added
Gurdeep
while
giving
a
quote
to
PTI.
Four
years
ago,
Gurdeep
got
married
to
her
co-star
from
''Sanjeevani'' Arjun
Punj
and
now
is
a
mother
of
a
one-year-old
daughter.
Gurdeep
says,
“In
India,
in
films,
heroines
have
to
romance
on
screen
so
they
have
to
be
young.
When
I
joined
television
I
got
roles
where
my
actors
were
romancing
me
on
screen.
When
I
started
growing,
my
characters
also
grew.
Like
in
''Sanjeevani''
I
got
married,
in
''Sindoor...''
I
had
a
baby,
I
had
older
children
in
''Kasamh
Se''."
''Best
of
Luck
Nikki''
is
a
story
about
an
average
Indian
family
comprising
of
mother,
father
and
siblings.
They
are
happy
to
welcome
the
newest
and
youngest
family
member
Nikki.
About
the
serial,
Gurdeep
said,
"I
wanted
to
get
back
with
a
different
genre
and
wanted
to
do
comedy.
The
show
fell
in
place
with
my
frame
of
time
and
mind."
