Hema Malini's TV show to come to an end

Veteran actress Hema Malini's television serial Maati Ki Banno, which is on-air from last four months, will be going off-air very soon owing to poor TRPs. The serial failed to attract viewership even after featuring the dream girl on the show.

Maati Ki Banno started with a Television Rating Point (TRP) of 1.5 and gradually dropped to less than 1. Reportedly, the show will be pulled off air in the first week of May and will be replaced by some other show during the 6:30 slot.

When TOI contacted actress Hema Malini, she did not deny that her serial was coming to an end. She told, “It did not work because of the time slot it was given. Keeping up the spirit Hema, who has not turned a producer told, “We will be making many serials and films too."

When she was asked if in future she will be acting in any of the serial, the actress told, “Not serials, but a film, surely, if there's something interesting."
