By Kalyani Prasad Keshri

Singer Meiyang Chang and Choreographer Marischa Fernandes won Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season four on Sony TV. Going by the format of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in the last three seasons, which has always crowned a non-dancer every year, Chang was the most deserving among the last three finalists, Sushant Singh Rajput and Yana Gupta.

Choreographer Marischa says that Meiyang Chang was initially not confident of his dancing abilities. He considered himself to be a stupid on a dancing stage. The choreographer said that she first had to work on building his confidence and motivating him by making him realise his potential.

Marischa said that his better performance and better marks and growing appreciation with every episode kept boosting his confidence and resulted as the winning trophy for them. The choreographer faced a lot of problems while teaching the dance steps to Chang, as he was a non-dancer.

Marischa told to PTI, "The journey has been a tough one. Initially, I had problems to make him learn dance..but as we progressed there was improvement. The moment music was on he just went on to dance. He started doing his own moves. But I must admit he is a good student. I just had to keep patience with him."

Marischa accepted that Sushant Singh Rajput was a brilliant dancer and performer and was the toughest competitor for them. She even said that as a choreographer Savio was also one of the strongest competitor for them. Marischa said that she is ready to do and accept any offer in future be it film or anything else. She said that dancing is her passion and she can do anything to attain that satisfaction.

The winning duo bagged a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh each after fighting it out with Television actor Sushant Singh Rajput and item queen Yana Gupta.
