Pavitra Rishta on ZEE to take a 20 year leap

ZEE TV's popular serial Pavitra Rishta, which is slowly losing it's charm as well as TRPs will take a leap of 20 years, starting December 12, 2011.

Ekta Kapoor's Pavitra Rishta on Zee TV, which topped all soap opera being aired on TV is going through a rough patch as it fails to hold on. To give a twist to the story and to win back eyeballs, Pavitra Rishta will take a 20 year leap.

At present, Manav (Hiten Tejwani) and Archana (Ankita Lokhande) are shown to be at loggerheads with each other as Archana has dragged Manav to court over the redevelopment project of their housing society. Manav loses the case.

Meanwhile, Archana and Manav's son Soham is kidnapped by Varsha, Archana's sister. Archana delivers twins - Ovi and Tejaswini. However, Manav is so angry with Archana that he forcibly takes them and Sachin away from her and move to Canada along with his mother Savita Tai.

Archana remains in Mumbai with her mother Sulochana and Poorvi, an orphan girl she adopts.
