'Sasural Simar Ka' girl hiding her marital status

Back then, marriage meant an end to his career. Aamir Khan had to hide his marriage with estranged wife Reena Dutta, so that his fans wouldn"t be disappointed.

Bhagyashree too was asked to keep her pregnancy hidden to avoid any speculations regarding her marriage. Times have changed and fans now love you irrespective of your marital status. But at times apprehension can overpower rationality. Dipika Samson, who plays a prospective bride in 'Sasural Simar Ka', has apparently been asked by the channel to remain tight-lipped about her three year old marriage.

The channel in question feels that her marital status might hamper her on-screen image of a prospective bahu. In the show, she is playing a girl whose parents are hunting a suitor for her. According to sources, the channel feels that the time is not right to reveal her marital status. They are trying their best to keep this piece of information under wraps and even if it comes out, so should happen when she ties the knot on the show.

Reveals our khabroo from the sets, “Dipika is married to Raunak Mehta for the past three years. She tied the knot sometime in December, 2008. He has been spotted on the set and introduced to co-stars but Dipika has been asked to not reveal her marriage to anyone. Channel fears that it might hamper the show." Both Dipika and Ashvini Yardi, programming head of the channel didn"t revert.
