'The
X
Factor',
a
singing
TV
reality
show,
is
a
very
popular
TV
programme
in
the
UK
and
US.
Many
aspiring
singers
in
India
were
hoping
that
their
country
should
also
have
such
a
TV
show.
Now,
to
fulfill
their
desires,
Sony
Entertainment
Television
has
launched
the
Indian
version
of
the
'X
Factor'.
The
show
bosses
think
that
the
show
will
provide
much-needed
platform
to
Indian
youths.
The
Indian
'X
Factor'
has
been
adapted
from
international
show
'The
X
Factor'.
Singer-cum-actor
Aditya
Narayan
will
be
the
host
and
filmmaker
Sanjay
Leela
Bhansali
and
playback
singers
Sonu
Nigam
and
Shreya
Ghoshal
will
judge
the
show.
The
auditions
will
be
aired
all
the
days
of
the
week
between
May
29
till
June
4
at
9
pm
and
the
galas
will
start
from
June
10
with
top
12
finalists,
every
Friday
and
Saturday
at
9
pm.
Sonu
Nigam
is
thrilled
about
the
TV
music
talent
show.
"My
consent
to
be
a
judge
of
'X
Factor'
is
proof
enough
of
my
faith
in
the
format,
teams
involved
and
the
Channel.
Music
in
India
has
gone
beyond
the
boundaries
of
film
music.
So
for
all
those
singers,
bands
and
musicians
who
are
trying
to
give
music
a
new
expression
the
show
will
give
them
a
platform
to
showcase
their
talent," PTI
quotes
Nigam
as
saying.
The
X
Factor
was
first
created
and
produced
by
music
mogul
Simon
Cowell
in
UK.
The
popularity
of
the
show
has
led
it
to
be
aired
in
several
countries.
Now
it
should
be
seen
whether
Indian
version
of
The
X
Factor
will
repeat
its
international
success
in
India
too.
