Aamir Khan borrows Satyamev Jayate title from India!

When Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate team went to register the title, they got to know that though the title 'Satyamev Jayate' can be used by every Indian, it cannot be trademarked.

Speaking to a leading website, B Shrinivas Rao, executive producer for Aamir Khan Productions Pvt Ltd said that when they went to register the title for Aamir Khan's television venture, Satyamev Jayate, they got to know that the title 'Satyamev Jayate' is of the people, for the people and belongs to the people of India. Though anybody can use it as per their convenience, the title can never have copyright tag attached to it. It was hence impossible for them to use the title exclusively to promote their show.

Since Aamir Khan was adamant on using the title 'Satyamev Jayate' even if he had to borrow it from his country. Various brain storming sessions were conducted to see how they could promote their show.

Satyamev Jayate, to be telecast on Star TV will showcase the life of real people and uncut and unfiltered emotions from all walks of life.
