Now, a film on Sony TV's show CID

If you enjoy watching the famous detective show CID on Sony TV, you are in for a treat as the makers are planning to convert the popular serial into a film.

One of the most long running show CID will be made into a movie with more action and a unique storyline. Speaking to IANS, Producer BP Singh said, “There will be a film on CID with the same cast, but one main villian will be from outside.”

CID has got loyal viewer-ship since Jan 21, 1998 and the show has so far showcased more than 615 cases in 824 episodes. The producer intends to present a story that is different from the regular CID. The shooting for the film will begin by the end of the year.

Previously, the serials Office Office and Khichdi have been converted into a movie. Though those movies haven't fetched much at the Box Office, CID is expected to bring in more collections.
