Rajasmita Kar is the winner of Dance India Dance-3

Rajasmita Kar from Odisha walked away with the winner's trophy and a Maruti Ertiga car at this year's Dance India Dance Season 3 finale on Zee TV. The episode was aired over the weekend and saw a spectacular performance from the contestants and the judges.

21-year-old Rajasmita Kar received tough competition in the Dance India Dance contest from Mohena Singh (23) from Madhya Pradesh's Rewa, Pradeep Gurung (24) from Assam, Sanam Johar (20) from Delhi and Raghav Juyal (20) from Dehradun.

Dance India Dance-3 began with 18 contestants and finally narrowed down to top 5. Rajasmita, who was from judge and mentor Geeta Kapoor aka Geeta Maa's group was the favourite among the audience from day 1 of the show.

Mohena won the best desired performance of the season and took home a cash prize of Rs 3 lakh.

The finale, hosted by Saumya Tandon and Jay Bhanushali saw Terence Lewis, Geeta Kapoor and Remo D'Souza perform beautifully and managed to impress the grand master Mithun Chakraborty and the audience.

Anil Kapoor had come to DID 3 to promote his forthcoming film Tezz and support the finalists. Salman Khan from Bangalore was the first winner of Dance India Dance, while Shakti Mohan from Mumbai bagged the trophy in season 3 of DID.
