Is Aamir's Satyamev Jayate getting monotonous?

Aamir Khan's Satyamev Jayate hit the bull's eye in the very first episode, where the actor turned host brought the topic of female foeticide to the fore. Though the second episode too managed to grab the attention of the audience, the third episode of Satyamev Jayate did not create the impact that the two earlier episodes did.

Aamir Khan created quite a buzz when Satyamev Jayate went on air for the first time on May 6th. The actor had the entire nation praising him for his brilliant effort to fight genuine social problems. Soon after the first episode, stringent actions were taken against doctors and private clinics who advocated female foeticide.

The second episode of child sexual abuse too was appreciated. The story of Cindrella Prakash was horrific, and so was Harish Iyer's tale of molestation that lasted for almost a decade. The latest we hear is that Aamir Khan's effort has finally proved fruitful since the Lok Sabha has passed the Child Protection Bill, which was pending for a long time.

The third episode of Satyamev Jayate which dealt with dowry failed to create a stir. Horrific incidents narrated by victims like Paramjeet Kaur and Komal Sethi was heart rendering. However, the topic of dowry has been dealt with over 100 times in the past and probably that's why it failed to create a strong impact.

Let's hope that in the weeks to come, Satyamev Jayate manages not only to grab the attention of our countrymen, but also helps in starting a revolution, a movement of change!
