Vidya Balan excited to promote Kahaani on Colors' Uttaran

Actress Vidya Balan is busy with promotional activities of her upcoming movie Kahaani, which is slated to release on 9th March. The Bollywood star is now set to promote the film on one of the popular daily soap, Uttaran on Colors. She is very much excited to meet and work with the TV actors for it.

TV serial Uttaran is a story of two friends Ichcha and Tapasya with diametrically opposite backgrounds. After her delivery, Iccha finds it hard to believe that her new-born baby is dead. Now, Vidya Balan has identified her dilemma in the film Kahaani with the character of Iccha in the serial.

Whereas, the story of Kahaani revolves around pregnant Vidya Bagchi, who is in search of her missing husband Arnab Bagchi in Kolkata. Vidya Balan, who is playing the pregnant woman, says, "The strong willed woman Iccha on Uttaran perfectly amalgamates with my character from Kahaani."

Now, Vidya Balan is thrilled to appear on the show. “I was super excited to share screen space with one of the characters who celebrates womanhood on TV. Ichcha's fervent search for her lost son and mine for my husband not just brought us together allowed us the opportunity to relive the moments," the Times of India quotes her as saying.
