Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2: Shlok Announces That He Will Marry Astha

In Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2, Astha breaks down before Kalindi and Atul and tells them that she will stop going to work after the event that is due to take place the next day.

Shlok gives Niranjan the permission to proceed with his marriage proposal. Astha enters the function wearing the saree gifted by Shlok. Anjali introduces Tanya to Atul and Kalindi and tells them that they have chosen her for her son. Shlok cannot take his eyes off Astha, who in turn tells him that she wore the saree since she had no other choice and her relationship with him is nothing more than that of an employee and a boss.

Anjali asks Astha to take care of Tanya and family and allow the two to talk. Shlok makes Astha jealous by talking and getting close to Tanya. Astha is very angry seeing this and feels very jealous. Shlok later asks Astha why she doesn't speak out her feelings towards her even though it's evident from her eyes. Astha says there is no point since he is going to marry somebody else. He asks her to confess her love for him, and she tells him that she will never say what he wants to hear since she will be hurt. Shlok tells her that he can read her mind and knows that she loves him.

Anjali is glad that Astha will leave after the event and Shlok will be able to marry Tanya and start afresh. When she expresses her opinion to Shlok, he gets furious and snaps.

At the function, Shlok announces to everybody that he will be marrying Astha. When Astha along with her parents are about to leave, Shlok holds her hand and stops her. He then takes her to the stage while Atul and Kalindi along with the others look on, shocked!. Shlok tells everybody that Astha will be the bahu of the house...he introduces her as 'Astha Kirloskar'.

Niranjan and Anjali are furious while the rest of the people gathered there applauds for them. Tanya and her family are very angry and hastily leave the function.
