Rakhi Sawant ready to go to jail instead of Sanjay Dutt

TV actress Rakhi Sawant, also known as 'motormouth' for her brash and rather outspoken ways said recently that she has deep respect for Sanjay Dutt and is willing to take up his jail sentence!

Rakhji Sawant believes that since Sanjay Dutt is a family man and has a lot to think of while she has no major responsibilities and so should be allowed to take up his three-and-a-half years sentence. Talking about her opinion, Rakhi Sawant said, "If there is any provision in the law, then I'd like to request the court to send me to jail in place of Sanjay. Not because he is a big actor today, but because he has a family and kids at home to take care of." She further added, "I agree that he committed a mistake, but he doesn't deserve such a harsh punishment."

Rakhi Sawant's respect for Sanjay Dutt began during her struggling days. Recalling those days, Rakhi said, "I did my first film with Sanjay (Rakhi debuted with Kurukshetra in 2000, starring Sanjay and Mahima Choudhary in the lead). I was a kid when I faced the camera for the first time. Terribly nervous, I was fumbling. Sensing my nervousness, Sanjay, who was watching me from a distance, came to me and said, 'Beta aaram se dialogue bolo, darrne ki koi baat nahi hai.' He gave me so much confidence and helped me take my initial steps in Bollywood."
