Amitabh's Yudh To Replace Ram Kapoor's Bade Achhe Lagte Hain!

It is unfortunate that one good news comes at the cost of something bad. But it is always like that, isn't it? Fans of Bollywood's angry young man, Amitabh Bachchan, can celebrate, for, his debut fiction TV show, Yudh, will commence from 14th July. But sadly, it will also mark the end of Sony's popular serial, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain starring Ram Kapoor, as it is going to shut shop.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan's foray into the fiction space on TV, marked by Yudh, will hit the small screen on 14th July on Sony Entertainment Television, replacing Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar starrer hit show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. The shooting for Bade Achhe Lagte Hain has already ended and the serial will air it's last on 10th July.

The Ekta Kapoor-produced drama, according to sources, "Is going off air because the story is coming to an end." A sources reveals, "It will end with Ram and Priya's re-marriage on July 10. Some portions of the show are still being shot." There were reports that Bade Achhe... is ending because Ram and another actor Jai Kalra, who plays Vikram, were exploring other opportunities.

The upcoming show, Yudh, follows the life of Yudhishthir Sikarwar, a real estate baron, who is diagnosed with a degenerative neurological disorder. It traces his journey, his struggle with his collapsing health, his battle with business rivals and his complicated family equations. Also starring veteran actress Sarika along with names like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kay Kay Menon, Yudh, after years in planning and a year in the making, promises to take viewers on a 'cinematic experience'.

Yudh is co-produced by Amitabh's production company Saraswati Creations in collaboration with Endemol India and has acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as the creative director, along with Shoojit Sircar who has been roped in as a creative consultant. The finite series directed by Ribhu Dasgupta will be aired Monday to Thursday at 10.30pm.
