News

By Girija Narayan
Humsafar,
the
Pakistani
television
show
starring
Fawad
Khan,
that
has
reached
Indian
audience
on
channel
Zindagi,
will
air
it's
first
episode
on
Tuesday
,
October
14.
The
television
series
has
something
for
every
show
on
Indian
television
to
learn.
The
chemistry
between
the
two
protagonists
have
the
potential
to
set
a
trend
on
Indian
TV.
The
firts
episode
established
the
main
plot
of
the
entire
story
where
Khirad
and
Asher's
lives
get
entangled.
Asher's
father,
guilt
striken
about
not
having
helped
his
sister
until
then
(Khirad's
mother),
declares
that
he
would
promise
to
get
Asher
married
to
Khirad.
Asher
has
a
close
lady
friend,
who
plans
to
wed
him,
while
Khirad
has
no
plans
at
all
to
get
married.
What
happens
when
they
are
pressed
to
have
an
arranged
marriage
and
how
they
find
love
eventually
forms
the
rest
of
the
story.
Based
on
the
first
episode
alone,
the
show,
cleary
is
a
class
apart
from
any
current
shows
on
air.
From
establishing
characters
to
background
music,
the
tone
of
the
show
is
quintessentially
picturesque.
From
a
deseased
mother
not
wanting
to
die,
to
an
absentee
brother
and
from
a
daughter
full
of
pride
to
a
perfectionist
son,
each
character
is
established
splendidly
well
in
just
the
first
episode.
The
Sarmad
Sultan
Khoosat
directed
drama
series,
Humsafar,
which
was
originally
aired
on
Hum
TV
in
2011,
stars
Fawad
Afzal
Khan
as
Asher
and
Mahira
Khan
as
Khirad
in
lead
roles
is
based
on
the
novel
with
the
same
name.
The
show
hits
Indian
television
thanks
to
the
demand
for
Pakistani
shows
in
recent
times.
Humsafar,
Pakistan's
highest
rated
television
series
will
be
aired
on
Zindagi,
Monday
to
Friday
8
pm.
