Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 2, 12th May written episode: Anjali compares her status with a doormat, which Niranjan can crush with his feet whenever he wishes. She helplessly requests Astha to save Jyoti, as she herself cannot do anything, even after knowing that Abhay is wrong. Astha vows to stop Abhay from taking Jyoti with him. She makes a phone call and comes downstairs.

Abhay tells Jyoti that it is his generosity that he is taking her back even after she has been adulterous. Astha stops him when he drags Jyoti. She says that the daughter of Agnihotri family cannot leave home without gifts. Abhay becomes delighted at this proposal.

Astha makes Jyoti sit on the sofa and pretends performing rituals, only to pass the time. Jyoti cries and requests her to stop this. Soon police comes to the house and says that they have received a complaint of mental and physical torture from Jyoti against her husband.

When Niranjan tries to tell the police that this is a family matter, Jyoti speaks out. She says that the complaint is very much true. She shows signs of torture on her hand. She also clears that her girl children have been aborted. Shlok and Varad become stunned.

Niranjan forbids the inspector to arrest Abhay, but he says that he is bound to arrest him, until Jyoti withdraws her complaint. Jyoti strongly declares that he should be arrested and she will never stay with him again.

Jyoti comes to Abhay and slaps him, before he is taken to police custody. Niranjan calls Anjali privately and instructs her to send Jyoti back to Abhay. Anjali comes to the hall and tells Jyoti that she has to withdraw her complaint and go back.

Shlok becomes defiant and says that if Jyoti is compelled to leave the house, he will leave too. Varad also supports him. Astha says that she will also go with Shlok. Niranjan watches everything from the upper floor and comes to the hall. He rebukes Anjali for being rude on her children. He stops them from leaving the house.
