Jodha Akbar: Maham Gets Life Imprisonment, Festivity Is Back

Jodha Akbar 22nd August written episode: Akbar narrates how he continued acting like a stupid lover, to catch the traitor. He insulted Atgah and Tansen. Tansen wanted to leave Agra, he stopped the veteran artist explaining the crisis. Atgah understood Akbar’s drama very soon and joined in his plan.

Maham becomes defiant. She retorts that she wanted to dethrone the King, for the good of the common people. She thinks Akbar does not deserve the throne anymore because he is ruled by his queens.

Akbar crosses her asking if she is so concerned about the welfare of the state then why she imprisoned Chand Begum and tortured her for so many years. Maham becomes shocked when Nigar brings Chand Begum to the hall.

Akbar tells Maham that she has given him all political trainings. So, she would be the right person to suggest her punishment. Maham tells Akbar to give her death sentence.

Akbar says that Maham can think of murdering him, but he can never do so. He wants to keep her in such a place, where she will not be able to plan more conspiracies. He gives her life imprisonment in an abandoned place, where she will meet no human being.

Akbar apologizes to his mother and queens for his misbehavior, which was part of the game. The Mughal palace celebrates Eid with re-energized fervor. Akbar spends moments of solace in Jodha’s room, after saying sorry to her.

The Emperor feels relaxed. Only his mind is heavy with the grim truth that the conspirer was none other than his milk-mother Maha Manga. Jodha wipes the drop of tear from his eye.
